Celebrities Send Goodwill Messages to Jeremih Following News of COVID-19 Complications in ICU

Celebrities have taken to their social media platforms to pray for Jeremy Felton, professionally known as Jeremih, a Chicago singer, and rapper, after news broke on Saturday that he is in the ICU COVID-19 complications. 50 Cent, Chance the Rapper, Toni Braxton, Big Sean, Sean Don, and Meek Mill have asked people to pray for Jeremih on their Instagram accounts.

It is unclear when the rapper was hospitalized or how long he has been battling with the infectious disease but celebrities and fans have since Saturday, sent their love to the family and said prayers for the “Birthday Sex” rapper. Producer Hitmaka also is known as Yung Berg also took to social media to wish Jeremih a safe and speedy recovery.

Reports circulating state that Jeremih has been placed on a ventilator in the ICU of a Chicago hospital. 50 Cent gave little detail of Jeremih’s condition revealing that he has COVID-19. The Jamaica-born rapper also stated that Jeremih is in the ICU in a hospital in Chicago. Over the years 50 Cent and Jeremih have worked on different projects together and seem to be close.

Chance the Rapper also pleaded with his fans to take a little bit of their time to pray for Jeremih. He described Jeremih as his brother, Yahoo News reports.

“I believe in the power of Jesus, so please if you can pray for my friend, Jeremih who is just like a brother to me,” the rapper wrote. “Do it for me please.”

Sean Don and Sean Don also posted stating that they are paying for Jeremih and his family and asking their fans to do the same. Toni Braxton posted on Sunday, November 15 stating that she was “keeping Jeremih in my prayers”.

Jeremiah became known after his debut single “Birthday Sex” became a hit in 2009. The song which is one of the tracks in his first studio album “Jeremih” made number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. His hit song “Down on Me” was released the following year and cemented his place in the R&B industry. He released his second album “All of You” in 2010 and his third album “Late Nights” in 2015.

Jeremih’s condition seems to be improving as 50 Cent gave an update on Sunday evening saying that the rapper is feeling better and responding to treatments. He appreciated everyone for their prayers and concerns.
